Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicle is currently building transportation vehicles for non-profit, Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) puppy transportation needs. GDB caters to those in need of services and empowers individuals nationwide. Puppies from across the state of Arizona and New Mexico attended the GDB training, totaling about 40-50 puppies in training with their puppy trainers, 70-100 people along with handlers from the area with their guide dogs.
“Due to the hot temperatures and a need for an indoor controlled environment, we gladly welcome GDB to have their training at our facility. This is our small way of giving back and saying thank you!” said Quality Vans Vice President, Doug Reber. Mr. Reber is legally blind and is a Guide Dog handler with guide dog, Bay, placed with him by GDB in 2015.
GDB provides free of charge serves for the Low Vision, Visual Impaired and Blind Community including personalized training, extensive post-graduation support, plus financial assistance for veterinary care, if needed. “Our work is made possible by the generous support of our donors and volunteers,” states GDB’s website www.guidedogs.com.
